Contracts for Difference: Stakeholder Bulletin 03 March 2020 Publication of CfD AR4 Consultation The government has published the Contracts for Difference for Low Carbon Electricity Generation: Consultation on proposed amendments to the scheme 2020 setting out proposed changes ahead of the next allocation round which is planned to open in 2021. The consultation will run for twelve weeks, closing on the 22 May 2020. The government is seeking views on changes to the scheme, signalling continued commitment to strengthening the renewable energy sector and increasing the proportion of clean electricity powering Great Britain in order to meet its net zero ambitions. Alongside the consultation, government announced the next Contracts for Difference allocation round will include auctions for both Pot 1 technologies and Pot 2 technologies.
