CfD Stakeholder Bulletin — 14 January 2021

DESNZ·consultation·medium·14 Jan 2021·source document

Summary

DESNZ published a consultation on a new Supply Chain Plan questionnaire that CfD applicants must complete, closing 11 March 2021. The department extended the deadline for the related consultation on Supply Chain Plan changes from 18 January to 28 January to allow stakeholders to review both together.

Why it matters

This adds administrative requirements to CfD applications without changing the fundamental economics of renewable energy support. The questionnaire creates additional compliance costs for developers while the Supply Chain Plan process remains a planning mechanism rather than a market test of domestic content value.
